The Set Examination Department of Savitribai Phule Pune University is the authorized department to conduct the qualifying examination for the post of Assistant Professor in the Universities and Senior Colleges of the State of Maharashtra and Goa as per the guidelines of the nodal agency of the Government of Maharashtra as well as the University Grants Commission.

On 7th April, 2024, the 39th SET exam was organized by the SET department for the students of Maharashtra and Goa states in various colleges in 17 cities. The set examination department has completed the work of preparing the results of the students who have appeared in the actual examination.

However, guidance has been sought from the state government regarding whether to implement reservation for SEBC category students for the said set examination and the university is following up with the state government in this regard. Sabab, the result of the set examination held on 7th April, 2024 will be announced as soon as the guidance is received from the state government.
